Company:

McNeil and Co. is a small solicitors’ firm based in West London.  In addition to four solicitors who offer both private and corporate services, the company employs a receptionist, legal secretary, and an accounts manager.

With demanding caseloads the partners are frequently in closed meetings or court, yet their line of work requires they remain in constant touch with clients.  With only one receptionist and obsolete hardware, the solicitors often miss important calls which costs them financially and also in terms of productivity. 

The account manager’s tasks are no less demanding.  With complex billing structures, accurate and detailed call records are needed for invoicing purposes.  The firm currently relies on highly outdated hardware that is not only cumbersome, but often inaccurate which has resulted in a loss of fees.

Solution:

McNeil and Co. adopt the Primus VoIP solution and include 8 Polycom IP telephones.  With this new hardware the partners can easily track which calls they have missed from their desks, check voicemails, and divert calls.  The Polycom IP family of phones work excellently with the Primus VoIP features such as Comm Pilot, Screen Pop and the Outlook integration which will revolutionise the daily workings of the office. 

Along with the new service they have incorporated BroadWorks Receptionist, which allows the front of house to manage and direct calls to partners’ extensions, voicemail boxes or mobile telephones without difficulty.  This ensures that no calls are missed, or go unrecorded.

In regards to the challenge faced by account management, Primus VoIP’s Business Portal gives administrators access to all call records and usage details allowing for easy and accurate invoicing.
