The Primus VoIP system is managed and monitored 24-hours a day, seven days a week ensuring uninterrupted service all year round.  Our system is backed by a redundant platform, meaning if one component fails, the second will seamlessly take over without notice.  It is based on geographically resilient network architecture across two data centres and redundancy is built-in at every level.

Security

The convergence of data and communications presents a number of security issues, which, if not properly addressed, can make your network vulnerable to fraud and data network attacks. 

As a multi-faceted communications provider, Primus thoroughly understands your concern with security – that’s why we’ve placed the utmost importance on providing our customers with the strongest protection. 

To protect against unauthorized access, Primus employs standard cryptographic methods to authenticate users and domains - whether external or internal - for each SIP session using SIP Digest providing an encrypted user ID and password between endpoint and central systems.

All services are built in a front-end/back-end configuration protected by firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACL). The servers internally classify all signalling events as coming from either the “access interface” or the “network interface” helping to identify which security policies to apply.

Session border controllers provide Multi-layer intrusion and attack prevention, including DOS and distributed-DOS protection by being In-Line with all SIP signalling and media traffic.
